a pledge for safety hope and healing.png

The pledge below is a commitment, a call to action, an invitation, and voluntary choice each of us can make to demonstrate our own capacity to “Take a Stand” against intimate partner violence. As we and others take this pledge, our individual action contributes to a rising wave of people joining together in solidarity to prioritize safety, hope and healing for all.

I pledge to “Take A Stand” against intimate partner violence.

I understand this commitment can make a difference in my community and the movement to end intimate partner violence.

  • I will use my voice to stand against victim-blaming, discrimination, and violence to end the stigma towards survivors.

  • I will listen to survivors without judgment, and respect their choices.

  • I will share my commitment to “Take a Stand” against intimate partner violence boldly and proudly, and often, to inspire others to make a commitment to action against domestic violence.

  • I will also encourage others to embrace their ability to support survivors of intimate partner violence, and honor the advocates that work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of all survivors.

I know that intimate partner violence happens all over the world, regardless of economic status, gender, skin color or who we love. Today I join with advocates everywhere to end intimate partner violence in my home and community.

I can make a difference, and today I make the pledge to “Take A Stand”.
